INFLUENCE YOUR SKIN AGING

YOU CAN INFLUENCE 80% OF YOUR SKIN'S AGING!

I've often heard people argue when they hear this statement. You hear things like:
☑ " if I old I old, nothing can be done about it"
☑ " In my family, we look older than our age🙄

WHAT IS AGEING?
This simply is referred to as the process of getting old.
It is also explained to be the loss and damage of important and accumulation of unimportant ones. This deterioration/loss and damage of the body cells, skin inclusive is a natural process.

When it comes to ageing, The two players are involved are: ☑Intrinsic: This happens internally and it's the process controlled by genetics. This doesn't come into play until around the age of 60. This contributes just about 20% to the ageing process and cannot be controlled

☑ Extrinsic (external) ageing: This is referred to as the environmental/lifestyle ageing. This starts to show up around the age of 30. It is the major player when it comes to ageing and contributes about 80% and can be controlled.

This simply implies that you can influence how young or old your skin looks. Let's take a look at some of the external factors which could be speed up or slow down the process:

✔Sun: This is the major factor that impacts on the process negatively. Its important to always shield your skin from the sun as much as possible and this can be done by using a cream which has a high SPF and UV filters. My recommendations are Novage Ecollagen Face Creams and Essential Fairness Softening Lotion

✔Social habits (e.g. smoking and drinking alcohol): Alcohol and smoking are harsh on the skin, dehydrates it and speeds up the ageing process

✔Diet: What you eat contributes a whole lot to how fast your skin ages. Drink lots of water to keep your skin plump and adequately hydrated. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and do away with junks and processed foods.

✔Exercises: This is a factor that has been proven to affect the quality of life positively and the skin is not left out. Getting a good exercise routine into your lifestyle will impart a great deal on your skin

✔Skincare Routine: Developing the habit of following a PROPER skincare routine to suit your skin type and your age is the very important if you want to have that young looking skin even at a more advanced age.
